MCC is lending its support to the DEC Pakistan Floods Appeal by holding a blind auction for a hospitality box on the third day of the England v Pakistan npower Test at Lord’s.
People can submit their bids by text on Thursday 26 August.
MCC will donate the full value of the winning bid to the appeal and also provide food and soft drinks for 12 people in the box throughout the day.
Some 20 million in Pakistan are estimated to be affected by the floods and subsequent water-borne diseases, and both the England and Pakistan teams have lent their support to the Appeal.
How to bid
Bidders should text LORDS along with their bid value and name to 63333.
Texts will be charged at the user’s standard tariff.
The auction closes at 5pm on Thursday 26 August. Any texts sent after that deadline will still be charged at the standard rate but the bids will not be valid. The winner will be notified by 7pm.
The winning bidder will need to pay by credit card and any alcohol purchased in the box will also need to be paid for by credit card.
Dress code in the Mound Stand hospitality box is smart-casual excluding jeans and trainers.
