Middlesex beaten by Hampshire at Richmond

James Vince made 84 as Middlesex were convincingly beaten by Hampshire in a Friends Life t20 group clash at Old Deer Park, Richmond.

Vince smashed his knock from just 49 balls on the small outground, as Hampshire comfortably chased 162 in just 15.1 overs.

Michael Carberry was similarly impressive for the visitors, striking three sixes and five fours in a cameo of 43 in just 16 balls.

Earlier, Dawid Malan had made his second half-century of the competition this year, hitting 77.

But Middlesex's total always looked short on a good batting track, and their bowlers never looked like restraining the Hawks batsmen.
