Lords.org looks back at day one of the Investec Test match between England and Sri Lanka, bringing you some moments you may have missed from the Home of Cricket.
Despite admitting to not being a big sports fan, comedian Dom Jolly - who knew better than to answer his phone in the Lord's stands - was lapping up the sunshine and enjoying the cricket.
The 46-year-old, who left his son at home despite protestations, regaled us with stories of playing for Lebanon against Jordan and his love of Australia legend Shane Warne.

Oscar winning director Sam Mendes took some time out of his busy schedule to spend the day enjoying the cricket with MCC President Mike Gatting.
He confessed to breaking into the hospitality boxes in his youth, but would not offer any shot when we asked him which cricketer would be a good James Bond.
