Ireland duo Tim Murtagh and George Dockrell are the latest names added to a star-studded MCC team to play against Afghanistan on Tuesday 11 July at Lord’s.
The two bowlers will be skippered by Brendon McCullum in a line-up that will also contain former Sri-Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara and ex-West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
They face a Afghanistan in a 50-over match which will be the tourists' first at the Home of Cricket.
Middlesex seamer Murtagh has taken 655 first-class wickets during his career and has featured in 33 One-Day Internationals for Ireland, taking 34 wickets - including the dismissal of Alex Hales at Lord's during the England v Ireland Royal London ODI series in May.
Leinster Lightning spinner Dockrell also took the wicket of Sam Billings during that match and has a total of 68 One-Day International appearances, in which he has taken 72 wickets.
Both players will play against an Afghanistan team featuring players such as leg-spinner Rashid Khan and all-rounder Mohammad Nabi - both of whom played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in this year’s IPL.
A similar fixture last year saw MCC beaten by Nepal in front of a crowd of nearly 6,000 at Lord's.
Tickets are now on sale for the match with prices set at £20 for Adults, £10 for Over-65s and £5 for Under 16s.
