Shivnarine Chanderpaul will join Kumar Sangakkara and Brendon McCullum by representing MCC against Afghanistan on Tuesday 11 July at Lord’s.
The former West Indies batsman is the latest big-name to be selected for the historic 50-over fixture, which will Afghanistan's first ever game at the Home of Cricket.
Chanderpaul has been in excellent form for Lancashire this season with 353 runs scored from just five innings at an average of 70.60 in the Specsavers County Championship.
During his international career, the 42 year-old notched up 11,867 Test runs at an average of 51.37 with a further 8,778 runs in One-Day Internationals.
He will face-up to an Afghanistan team that will feature the likes of spinner Rashid Khan and all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, - who both played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in this year’s IPL campaign.
A similar fixture last year saw MCC beaten by Nepal in front of a crowd of nearly 6,000 at Lord's.
Tickets are now on sale for the match with prices set at £20 for Adults, £10 for Over-65s and £5 for Under 16s.
