Six teams have gained a step closer to Lord’s having progressed from The Royal London One-Day Cup group stages.

Somerset, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Surrey will battle it out in the quarter-finals, while group leaders - Essex and Worcestershire - go straight through to a semi-final place.

The final two sides will then face each other in the final at the Home of Cricket on Saturday 1 July.

Despite a downpour across the country during the week, Surrey still managed to progress from the South Group in third place with fourth-placed Sussex seeing their match against Hampshire abandoned also due to rain.

Essex finished top of the South Group after beating Kent by 57 runs while Somerset came second.
