Middlesex’s T20 Blast fixtures for 2018 have been released and supporters will have an extra chance to watch the action-packed format at the Home of Cricket, with five South Group matches to take place at Lord’s next summer.
A mouth-watering London derby kicks off Middlesex’s short-format campaign on Thursday 5 July as Surrey make the short journey across the river, and Daniel Vettori’s men will be aiming for victory once again over their local rivals after a gripping one-wicket victory back in July.
The ever-consistent Somerset, defeated in the quarter-finals by eventual winners Nottinghamshire last season, are the visitors a fortnight later on Thursday 19 July, a match which begins a run of three consecutive weeks of T20 Blast action at Lord’s.
Last year’s semi-finalists Hampshire are the opponents seven days later as Middlesex look to avenge the six-wicket loss in 2017, before Sussex Sharks, who were defeated at Lord’s in a thrilling affair back in August, make the trip from the south coast led by new Head Coach Jason Gillespie on Thursday 2 August.
Essex Eagles complete the quintet of fixtures at the Home of Cricket on Thursday 16 August, with Middlesex hoping to qualify for the quarter-finals which are scheduled to take place between Thursday 23 and Saturday 26 August.
Middlesex will play their two other South Group home fixtures at Uxbridge and Richmond against Gloucestershire and Glamorgan respectively. Their fixtures for the Specsavers County Championship and Royal London One-Day Cup will be released on Wednesday 29 November at 11.00am.
Ticket details for all of Middlesex’s T20 Blast matches in 2018 will be announced in due course, with start times due to be confirmed in the New Year.
