Thank you for your interest in becoming a Match Day Safety Steward at Lord's.
Applications for 2014 are now open.
We are looking for bright, enthusiastic people to join our stewarding and customer care team for the 2014 Season. Our aim is to provide spectators with an unrivalled experience in a safe and secure environment.
There are a variety of stewarding positions available within the Ground:
*Pay rates range from £85 - £210 per day together with a generous lunch allowance.
Stand Stewards are involved in providing information, customer service and monitoring health and safety in our public viewing areas.
Turnstile Stewards and ticket sellers are an extremely important part of our service as they are the first point of contact for Members and patrons on arrival to the Ground. A Turnstile Steward’s main responsibilities are the control of both entry and exit from the Ground.
Cash Handlers are responsible for selling scorecards and may assist at Ticket Selling points.
Search Stewards will undertake routine searches of patrons entering the Ground. This can be a challenging position so Search Stewards will therefore receive a higher pay rate than a first-year Stand Steward.
We also require stewards to look after our hospitality facilities such as private boxes and exclusive debenture areas to ensure that guests enjoy our fabulous facilities.
Event Support Stewards must be SIA Licensed and duties include; crowd control, player protection and pitch perimeter protection.
Please indicate on the enclosed application form (which can be downloaded below) your preferences for these positions. Also note however, that deployment to a specific position is never guaranteed.
Please return the hard copy of the application form to:
Head Steward’s Office, Lord’s Cricket Ground, St John's Wood Road, NW8 8QN
