PA to Assistant Secretary (Estates and Ground Development)

Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is the world’s premier cricket club and plays a key role in promoting cricket around the world.  The Club is based at Lord’s Ground, the home of cricket, a stunning venue steeped in history and charm, which also boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including the MCC Cricket Academy. 

The Club has some 18,000 Full Members and 5,000 Associate Members, is governed through a Committee elected by the membership and managed by a Chief Executive with 240 employees

We are now recruiting for a key role to deliver secretarial and administrative support to the Assistant Secretary (Estates and Ground Developement) and his reports.  

In this role, you will support the Assistant Secretary (Estates and Ground Development), planning and organising his time to ensure it is used effectively and efficiently. You will manage busy diary commitments, papers, and travel arrangements and you will also assist with the preparation of confidential correspondence to a high standard. You will also be required to take accurate minutes in senior and sometimes complex meetings is also a vital part of this role.

The role will also include maintaining quality administration for the Assistant Secretary (Estates and Ground Development) and his departments and key deadline adherence, ensuring any actions are followed up.

You will be a highly competent, experienced and organised PA with experience in a similar role, ideally as a PA to an Executive Director.  Strong written English and proofreading skills are essential as you will be assisting with the preparation of reports.  You will also be an experienced minute-taker with a high level of attention to detail. 

The flexibility to work extended hours including some weekends and Bank Holidays, particularly during the cricket season, is required for all staff working at the Club.
