The Bridge Society plays Duplicate Pairs in the Members' Bar at Lord's each Tuesday from 7pm to 10:30pm.
Emphasis is placed on maintaining a friendly and sociable spirit at the table, with all matches taking place between MCC Members, and rubber bridge players will find a congenial environment in which to try their hands at the duplicate game.
Guests may only play if invited by a Member. Members without a partner may either email Bernard Goodwin in advance who will do his best to arrange suitable partnerships among those who contact him, or just turn up on the night.
Please note that on days when cricket is being played it may not be possible to park at the Pavilion end of the ground and Members may be re-directed to the North Gate where it will usually be possible to park near the Indoor School.
NOTE: Members and their guests attending Bridge Society club nights must observe the pavilion Dress Regulations. They are strongly advised to check whether there is cricket scheduled on any day they plan to attend club night as they will not be admitted to the pavilion on those days if they do not follow the more formal match day dress regulations (i.e. jacket and tie for gentlemen, etc).
For Bridge Society representative matches against other clubs (both home and away) and for certain competitions, such as the Lord’s Trophy and the Mixed Swiss Teams tournament, the match day pavilion dress regulations apply.
