Members’ Official Tours to Australia – 2017-18

As mentioned in the last Newsletter, the Club is planning two Members’ Official Tours to Australia in 2017-18.  The first tour comprises the Brisbane and Adelaide Test Matches and will be held between 19 November and 8 December.

The second visits Melbourne and Sydney, and will be held between 22 December and 9th January. A copy of the itinerary for each Tour can be found below.

The Tours will be organised by Howzat Travel and a Member travelling is permitted to bring one guest to share a room, otherwise the Tours are for Members and their wives/partners or families only.

There are currently 4 rooms available for the Brisbane and Adelaide Tour and 3 rooms available for the Melbourne and Sydney Tour. A full list of the components of the Tours is at the end of each itinerary.

The Club has decided to offer Members the option of booking either Tour without international flights.  In recent years, more Members have chosen to book their own flights in order to use frequent flyer schemes.

It is hoped that this will assist Members who wish to make their own arrangements; however the traditional 'with flights' tour is still available for those who prefer the ease of making a booking this way.  Howzat would also be able to assist with alternative flights if you would like to make different pre- or post-Tour arrangements.

If you would like to participate in either Tour you should contact Howzat Travel on 01664 820468 and discuss your booking with them. A deposit of £1,000 per person would be payable.

The Club’s Chief Executive, Derek Brewer, will lead the Tour to Brisbane & Adelaide and the Deputy Secretary, Colin Maynard, will lead the Tour to Melbourne & Sydney.  They are both looking forward to the Tours and hope that you decide to join them.
