Home Middlesex v Sussex: Match info
Middlesex will be boosted by the presence of England duo Steven Finn and Eoin Morgan when they take on Sussex in the LV= County Championship first division at Lord's, starting on Wednesday 30 May.
Angus Fraser's side will be delighted with their return to the top flight of English first-class cricket so far this campaign, sitting in a comfortable mid-table position in the championship after six matches.
Both their two victories in the competition so far have come at the Home of Cricket - a thrilling win over Surrey and a controversial defeat of Worcestershire in a game engineered towards a result.
Finn seems a certainty to return to the side after missing the draw with Lancashire in Liverpool on England duty, to boost their fast bowling reserves, while Morgan will play his first match at Lord's since returning from the IPL.
The Irish-born batsman was unused in India and is searching for form after making just eight in his first championship outing.
Sussex meanwhile are occupying an equally decent mid-table spot after their opening six matches, despite losing their most recent clash with Nottinghamshire. In addition to England trio Monty Panesar, Mike Yardy and Luke Wright, they also benefit from the vast experience of the likes of Marray Goodwin and Ed Joyce in a formidable batting line-up.
Day four of the match, Saturday 2 June, marks the start of Middlesex and MCC's Jubilee Celebrations at the Home of Cricket, which last until Tuesday 5 June.
The Lord's Tavern will be hosting a barbecue on the Saturday of the match, with the ever popular Ladies Day the main feature of the weekend on Tuesday, as Middlesex take on Somerset in the LV= County Championship.
