Former MCC President and Honorary Life Vice-President David Clark has died, aged 94.
Clark served as President of the Club in 1977/78 and was Manager of the MCC team who won the Ashes in Australia in 1970/71 under the captaincy of Ray Illingworth
He was a distinguished servant of the Club, first joining the MCC Committee in 1959 and later serving on the Cricket and General Purposes committees. He was the Club's Treasurer for six years from 1980.
Born in Barming, Kent, Clark had a five-year playing career with his home county, captaining them for his final three seasons before retiring in 1951.
