A group of schoolchildren had their umpiring skills tested in the MCC Cricket Academy under the watchful eye of former England captain Nasser Hussain.

The kids, from Arnold House Preparatory School in St John's Wood, donned a white umpire's coat and had their Leg Before Wicket officiating talents placed under the microscope in a mock match scenario.

Their performances were then assessed using the Academy's HawkEye analysis suite.

MCC Head Coach Mark Alleyne was also on hand for the session, which will be broadcast on the Game Changers programme on Sky Sports 1 and Sky 1 on Saturday 23 November at 9am.

Alleyne will be teaching cricket skills live in the studio and relating them to MCC's new Laws Animations will also be shown during the broadcast.

Five animations were produced in October 2013 to help young fans and newcomers to cricket understand some of the finer points of the Laws - including LBW (see below).

Sky Sports Game Changers is a new sports show for kids.  It’s on every Saturday morning at 9am on Sky Sports.
