Lord’s plays host to an exciting week of cricket

As a sensational season of cricket gets into full swing, Lord’s will host five exciting matches across a highly-anticipated week at the Home of Cricket.

Royal London One-Day Cup Final

Defending champions Hampshire will take on Somerset in this year’s Royal London One-Day Cup Final. After 56 years at Lord’s, the match will be the last domestic one-day final at the Home of Cricket before the fixture moves to Trent Bridge from the 2020 season onwards.

Eton v Harrow

On Bank Holiday Monday, Eton and Harrow will meet in one of the longest-running annual sporting fixtures in the world, and the only annual school match at Lord’s. Having played since 1805, Eton hold a slight edge in the fixture and they will look to record back-to-back victories after their 114-run win last season.

Oxford v Cambridge

The University Match was first played at Lord’s back in 1827, two years before the famous Boat Race. Oxford will be returning to St John’s Wood on the back of their impressive five-wicket win last season as these historic rivals goes head-to-head once again..

Middlesex Women v Surrey Women

After the success of their first ever fixture on the main square at Lord’s last year when they faced MCC Women in front of a domestic record of over 5,000 spectators, Middlesex Women return to the Home of Cricket to face local rivals Surrey Women in a T20 match for the right to lift the London Cup.

Inter-services Twenty20 Tournament

This triangular tournament is played between the Army, Royal Navy and RAF sides with three T20 matches played during the same day. In 2018, RAF emerged as winners, halting a five-year winning run from the Army.
