Named after the Father Time weathervane, one of the iconic features of Lord’s and a famous image within cricket, the watch is a celebration of MCC’s partnership with Oris and both parties’ shared vision to bring change for the better.
The watch is based on Oris’s Big Crown Pointer, and was crafted in naturally ageing bronze, with a sapphire top glass, a sustainably sourced deer leather strap and a stainless steel case back engraved with an image of the Father Time weathervane.
Only 1,926 watches have been made to mark the year that the weathervane was gifted to MCC (1926) by architect Sir Herbert Baker.
Since partnering in June 2022, MCC and Oris have worked together to hold a number of community events including the Oris Change for the Better Day last year, where volunteers collected plastic waste from London’s streets and a women in cricket event held in November 2023 which aimed to showcase the range of careers available in the game and highlight the current issues around female representation in cricket and the wider sports media. There are plans to hold similar events in the future.
In addition to the Father Time Limited Edition, a separate watch exclusive to MCC Members has been produced, limited at 250 pieces.
The Father Time Limited Edition watch is available for purchase via this link, or in the Oris London Boutique.
