Stanton by Dale CC
Crompton Ground
School Lane

To simplify directions to Stanton by Dale CC it is assume that most, if not all players will approach via M1 junction 25, where the motorway crosses the A52 Derby-Nottingham Road. Leave the M1 or A52 and, on the middle-level roundabout of this three-level junction, proceed north-west following a sign to 'Sandiacre....Risley'. After 200 yards see a sign reading 'Stanton-by-Dale only', indicating straight ahead. After another 200 yeards reach a crossroads controlled by traffic lights, choosing the inside lane. At the crossroads proceed straight ahead, signposted 'Stanton-by-Dale'. Continue approximately one and a half miles through farmland until you reach a steep but short descent and see the village sign for Stanton-by-Dale. The distance from Junction 25 to Stanton-by-Dale is approximately 2 miles. This area will be stewarded and you will be directed to appropriate parking. This is no parking either on or adjacent to the ground, which is marked as a green square a the top of the attached map. As there is a stiffish uphill walk to the ground, players' cricket bags and hopefully players themselves will be transported to a point adjacent to the Ground.
