The Lord’s Youth Boys programme is committed to identifying and developing talented young cricketers who are not currently part of final summer county squads. We provide these players with the opportunity to compete at a level beyond club cricket, against representative sides from both major and minor counties, with the ultimate aim of helping them reach their full potential and progress into county selection.
Applications are open to all who believe they have the ability to trial. While not all participants will progress to county level, our programme is designed to challenge, support, and nurture players at every stage of their cricketing journey. This includes helping them develop their skills through local playing opportunities with clubs and schools. Thanks to our extensive network, we can also assist in identifying the most suitable pathways for each individual.
Now entering its fifth season, the Lord’s Youth programme continues to offer elite winter training and a summer of high-quality fixtures.
Our experienced coaching team will guide players through structured sessions focused on bridging the gap between club and county cricket. Trials will assess a broad range of skills, placing emphasis on potential, performance, and attitude rather than just physical attributes.
Players selected for the squads will have the chance to represent Lord’s Youth in summer fixtures across Greater London, including on the iconic Nursery Ground at Lord’s, against county, academy, school, and strong club sides.
