THE VONEUS VILLAGE CUP FINAL TAKES PLACE AT LORD’S ON SUNDAY 3 SEPTEMBER, AS LEEDS AND BROOMFIELD CC OF KENT TAKE ON MILFORD HALL CC AT THE HOME OF CRICKET.
The competition, which has been running since 1972, gives village cricketers the chance to play at Lord’s. It will be the 52nd final to be played since the inception of the tournament. It has been administered by The Cricketer since the start and currently, around 300 clubs from across the British Isles enter the competition.
In 2022, Dumbleton, of Gloucestershire, were victorious at Lord’s, defeating Hampshire’s Calmore Sports by 86 runs, denying Calmore back-to-back successes after winning the tournament in 2021.
Play is due to begin at 11.00 and the match consists of 40 overs per side.
