The sell-out means London Spirit has already surpassed its total tickets sold for home attendance for the whole of the 2025 competition with one home fixture still remaining and selling fast, pushing towards 90k sold, underlining the growing appetite for cricket and entertainment at Lord's throughout The Hundred.
While results have so far been mixed on the field, the continued backing shown by supporters throughout the summer has been a source of enormous encouragement for everyone connected with London Spirit for its long-term success.
The momentum extends far beyond ticket sales. MCC Members have embraced their ownership of London Spirit in great numbers, with Member and guest attendance at home fixtures more than doubling compared with last season. The result has been a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere throughout Lord's with the Pavilion transformed by families and young supporters enjoying The Hundred together, a powerful illustration of how Members have made London Spirit their own.
Support for the women's game has continued to reach new heights too. London Spirit Women's most recent home fixture against Southern Brave attracted 17,537 spectators, the highest attendance ever recorded for a Women's Hundred group-stage match, highlighting the further growth of the competition and the appetite for elite women's cricket at Lord's.
Across both opening home matches, supporters have also embraced an enhanced matchday experience. Performances from Tinie Tempah presented by Barclays, alongside Cricket District's hugely popular garden cricket activation in the Coronation Garden, have helped create a festival atmosphere that has attracted packed crowds before the first ball has even been bowled.
Against this backdrop of record attendances, successful matchdays and growing support, London Spirit is also celebrating unprecedented demand for its official replica kit.
Demand has exceeded all projections, with stock originally forecast to last through both the 2026 and 2027 season exhausted before the end of this year's competition.
Supporters who miss out on the current stock can now secure their shirt through a priority pre-order, guaranteeing one of the first shirts from the next delivery. As an added thank you for their support, every fan who pre-orders before the last ball lands on Sunday 9 August will receive a complimentary London Spirit cap and will also be entered into a prize draw to win a London Spirit Family Season Ticket for the 2027 season (two adults and two children). There remains a wide range of merchandise available at retail outlets at Lord's, including the popular training shirt which features Father Time, the Barclays Media Centre and an egg-and-bacon twist on the famous Nike Swoosh.
With London Spirit's current official playing kit remaining unchanged for both the 2026 and 2027 seasons, supporters can pre-order knowing they will be wearing the team's official colours throughout the off-season and during next year's competition too.
MCC Chief Marketing Officer, Katie Maier, said: "Everything we're seeing this summer points to the growing fan momentum behind London Spirit. To have sold out Thursday's game and already exceeded last year's paid attendance with another home match still to come is very encouraging, while seeing so many MCC Members embracing the team and creating such a welcoming atmosphere around Lord's has been genuinely special. Elsewhere, our entertainment programme and fan activations have helped created an atmosphere that supporters want to be part of from the moment they arrive.
"We're equally proud that London Spirit's record-breaking crowd has continued to demonstrate the growing popularity of the women's game, adding to a wonderful summer for the women's game at the Home of Cricket including two world record attendances for the ICC Women's T20 World Final and the four days of the England Women's Test match against India.
"The demand for our replica shirts has been really pleasing. A 2.5x increase in sales is a wonderful reflection of how proudly our supporters are wearing the Spirit colours and loving the new look. We're delighted to offer the fans the opportunity to guarantee their shirt through our pre-order programme, complete with some fantastic rewards for supporting us."
