Over 500 guests made their way to the Home of Cricket, where World Cup winners Eoin Morgan and Ben Stokes were joined by Kane Williamson for an unfiltered evening of reflection on one of the greatest matches ever played at Lord’s.
Hosted by the brilliant Dave Fulton, the trio shared memories of that dramatic day – from the tension of the super over to the emotion and sportsmanship that defined an extraordinary contest.
Talking points during the evening included how New Zealand recovered from the heartbreak of defeat, the contrasting yet complementary leadership styles of Morgan and Williamson, and Stokes’ incredible performance with the bat. Guests also heard about the celebrations in the Long Room, Morgan’s conversation with a young Jofra Archer ahead of the super over, and the enduring respect England hold for New Zealand as a nation and a cricketing force.
It was an evening filled with laughter, insight and nostalgia – a celebration of a day that continues to inspire cricket fans around the world.
We captured the full conversation on camera – watch the evening in full here to relive the drama, emotion and spirit of one of cricket’s greatest ever matches.
