I.V.A. Richards 145 v EnglandBack to boards

Sir Viv Richards made the Lord's Test Honours Boards for the first time, when he scored 145 versus England in 1980.

England had scored 269 all out in their first innings and after Gordon Greenidge was dismissed for 25, Richards entered the crease with West Indies' tally seeing them 25/1.

Richards would go on to hit a sublime 145 off 159 balls, scoring 25 fours and a six to guide his country to a score of 518 all out.

Despite the man-of-the-match performance by Richards, West Indies were unable to win the contest, with the game resulting in a draw.
