Grand Stand

The Grand Stand at Lord’s Cricket Ground is one of the main spectator stands, offering premium viewing of the pitch and historic Pavilion. The first Grand Stand was built in 1867 and had a private box for the Prince of Wales as well as boxes for the press. It was demolished in 1925 to make way for a new Grand Stand by architect Herbert Baker. However, in 1998 the Grand Stand was once again developed to improve the views of the pitch from the seats.
