Lord's Heritage Trail

Harris Garden

The Harris Garden at Lord’s Cricket Ground was laid out in 1934 in memory of Lord Harris (1851-1932), former Kent and England captain and leading cricket administrator. As MCC President and Treasurer, he arranged overseas tours that developed the game outside of Britain and was also the first person to refer to Lord's as "The Home of Cricket". This memorial garden came to fruition two years after Lord Harris' death.
