Lord's Heritage Trail

Heyhoe Flint Gate

The Heyhoe Flint Gate at Lord’s opened in 2022 is dedicated to Baroness Rachael Heyhoe Flint, a pioneering figure in women’s cricket. The Heyhoe Flint Gate is the first part of the Ground named after a woman. In 1973, Rachael helped organise the first Women's World Cup, which her England team won, and three years later the first women's International was hosted at Lord's, after her lobbying. The gate is a perfect compliment to her dedication and commitment to raising the profile of the women's game.
