MCC and Middlesex CCC have appointed Danni Warren as their new Head of Women’s Cricket.

Warren, who has played over 100 matches and acted as a coach for Middlesex, will fulfill a joint role for both clubs.

She will oversee the women and girl’s performance programme for Middlesex, establish an Academy for MCC and Middlesex, assist with the delivery of MCC’s women’s strategy, and enhance the female workforce.

John Stephenson, MCC Head of Cricket, said: “We are very pleased to announce Danni’s appointment to this exciting role, and I am very much looking forward to working with her.

"We interviewed some excellent candidates and it’s testament to Danni’s experience and talent that we have recruited her.

Danni Warren said: “I am extremely excited to be moving into this new joint role and am looking forward to the challenges that are ahead of us.

"I am proud to be returning to Middlesex in a position where I can make a significant contribution to the success of women and girl’s cricket at a performance level.

"As an MCC member myself I am passionate about increasing the positive impact that cricket can have both on and off the field, and relish the opportunity to support their strategy going forward.
