Be part of history at Lord's this July at the Rothesay Women's Test match

Posted: 1 July 2026

Tickets are still available to witness the first ever Women's Test at the Home of Cricket.

History is waiting to be written at Lord's this July and there's still time to be part of it.

More than 30,000 tickets have already been snapped up across the four days of the historic Rothesay England v India Women's Test (10-13 July), making it one of the world’s best-attended women's Test matches ever.

Tickets are still available from just £20 (Adults) and £5 (U16s), meaning fans still have the opportunity to witness a landmark occasion and help create an unforgettable atmosphere as the two teams walk out at the Home of Cricket for the first Women's Test at Lord's.

The four-day match promises world-class cricket between two of the world's best teams, but the occasion will extend far beyond the action in the middle, with Lord's transformed into a celebration of women's cricket, its history and its future.

More than 50 legends of the English women's game will return to Lord's across the Test, including members of the side that played the first women's international at the Ground in 1976, such as Enid Bakewell. There will be a special opening ceremony that recognises the impact they’ve had on cricket in this country and beyond, before taking part in the famous five-minute Bell Ringing Ceremony on the outfield to mark this historic milestone.

Lord's will also unveil a significant expansion of its portrait collection, tripling the number of women featured, through new and retrospective portraits celebrating some of the game's greatest players and pioneers. The history and heritage of Lord’s is iconic and these unveilings will undoubtedly add to that prestige.

On Day Two, the famous Bell will be rung by England legend and broadcaster Ebony Rainford-Brent, before Day Three will see Sally Brooks ring it, former ECB Senior Event Manager, whose 25-year career helped deliver some of English cricket's most memorable moments, including men's and women's World Cup victories.

Players from both teams will also receive commemorative caps to mark their place in history and those who successfully join the Honours Board for either a century or a five-wicket haul will receive a commemorative bottle of Veuve Clicquot for their historic contribution in the match.

Supporters can expect far more than just four days of elite cricket. Families can enjoy free children's coaching sessions in the Vitality Performance Centre, where youngsters can also enter a prize draw to win the chance to pick out a top of the range cricket bat.

A newly created Heritage Trail will allow visitors to explore Lord's through their phones, discovering the stories and landmarks that make the Ground unique, while children can pick up an activity book and colouring pencils, full of fun games and quizzes to do throughout the day.

The famous green spaces around Lord's will host giant garden games, creating a relaxed festival atmosphere for families and friends. Across the match there will also be live entertainment, including performances from Indian dancers and musicians celebrating the visiting team and their supporters. On Day Two, the Rock Choir will bring its trademark energy and sound to the Ground with a 300-strong group performing for the fans.

Visitors to the Nursery Ground can also commemorate the occasion with a unique activation from Veuve Clicquot, where expert engravers will personalise bottles and corks with bespoke messages marking the first Women's Test at Lord's.

The winner of MCC's Young Female Broadcaster competition will be announced during Day Two, highlighting the next generation of off-field talent helping shape the future of the game.

The England v India Test sits at the heart of a record-breaking summer for women's cricket at Lord's. The Ground will host 21 women's fixtures during 2026, ranging from international cricket and domestic competitions to pathway finals. Lord's has staged three matches so far during the ICC Women's T20 World Cup and the fourth match will be on Sunday for the sold-out Final.

In recent years, MCC has further celebrated the women's game through permanent additions around the Ground, including the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Gate, a Women's Ashes commemorative plaque, exhibitions in the MCC Museum and a portrait of Charlotte Edwards in the iconic Long Room.

Now, another chapter is about to be written. With thousands already set to attend, supporters still have the chance to be there when history is made and help give England and India the welcome this landmark occasion deserves.

Tickets remain available across all four days.
