Update on ticket refunds for the England v. New Zealand Men’s Test match
In accordance with the refund policy for the match, refunds are due on tickets purchased for Saturday 6 June (100% of ticket price) and Sunday 7 June (50% of ticket price).
If you shared any of your tickets with friends or family via the digital Distribution method, i.e. via Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, please be aware that your refund may take a few extra days to process.
We apologise for any confusion or inconvenience this has caused and would like to reassure you we are aware of the issue and that we are working with our system provider to get the refunds to you as soon as possible. We expect the final refunds to be paid on 7 July 2026. Please note, refund times can also depend on your bank or card provider.
Separate refund credits
The refunds for distributed tickets will appear as a separate credit on your account. For example, if you purchased four Category C tickets at £xxx each, retained two in your own digital wallet and distributed the other two to friends, you will receive one refund (2x£xxx) for the two tickets in your wallet and two further individual refunds for each of the tickets you distributed.
Automated ticket recall emails
We introduced digital wallet transfers this year to offer an additional method of ticket sharing. However, all tickets transferred in this way need to be recalled back into the original purchaser’s wallet before we can process refunds for those tickets. If you have received a message saying your ticket has been recalled, this is why. The recall email will reference a future date from the match - most are dated 06.07.26 or 07.06.26.
Thank you for your patience as we work through the refund process as quickly as we can.
If you have any questions, Club Services remains available via email to clubservices@mcc.org.uk.
Refund Scheme
A refund scheme applies to Days One to Four of the England v New Zealand Rothesay Test Match, if play does not take place or is restricted on the Match Day for which the ticket(s) is valid, an automatic refund of the price of the ticket(s) will be made following the Match Day to the credit or debit card used by the Purchaser to make the purchase of the ticket(s), subject to there being:
(i) zero to 15 overs played on the Match Day – a full refund; or
(ii) 15.1 overs to 30 overs played on the Match Day – a 50% refund.
In no other circumstances can the price of the ticket(s) be refunded.
