Bayliss, who initially joined as Interim Head Coach in 2022 following the passing of Shane Warne, has led the Lord’s-based side for three years, reaching the Eliminator in his first year in charge.
The last two seasons have been more difficult for Spirit’s men, who will now be looking to appoint a new Head Coach.
London Spirit General Manager Fraser Stewart said: “We’d all like to thank Trevor for his considerable efforts across the last three seasons.
“He initially joined us in difficult circumstances and led the side to a strong finish in 2022, but the team hasn’t been able to replicate that success since.
“As a group we’re desperate to see London Spirit competing at the right end of the table and we think a new approach may be of benefit to our chances. Trevor leaves Lord’s with our best wishes and our gratitude.”
Ashley Noffke, who led Heather Knight and the London Spirit women’s team to their first-ever title in 2024, will continue in his role as women’s Head Coach. One of his Assistant Coaches from last year, Ali Maiden, has recently been appointed as the Birmingham Phoenix Head Coach, and so a replacement batting coach is also being sought.
Stewart added: “Whilst it’s sad to lose a coach of Ali’s quality after he did so well for us this summer, the Head Coach role at the Phoenix is a great opportunity for him and we wish him all the best.”
Details of the two roles on offer can be seen here.
