Guests enjoyed the beautifully decorated Long Room in the iconic Pavilion at Lord’s Cricket Ground. The afternoon included performances from the Church Street Community Singers, South Westminster Community Choir and the Abbey Centre Choir. Year 6 students from St Vincent’s RC Primary School also sang a carol for the audience, which included the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Lindsey Hall.
Ricky Reynolds, MCC Community Development Manager said: “This event gives MCC the opportunity to thank the local residents, community groups and schools who have taken part in various activities with us throughout the year.
“It also gives those who haven’t been here before the opportunity visit us while enjoying some mince pies and carols! It’s been a jolly afternoon full of festive cheer and it is a fitting way to celebrate another great year of engaging with the local community.”
Earlier in the week, MCC hosted the inaugural Spirit of Christmas Cup in which nine local schools participated in Christmas themed cricket activities around the Ground.
