MCC launches Vitality Performance Centre and new Official Wellness Partner

Posted: 3 June 2026

Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has entered into a multi-year agreement with Vitality to become the new Official Wellness Partner at Lord’s. The agreement includes naming rights for the Lord’s Performance Centre (previously the Indoor Cricket Centre), now known as the Vitality Performance Centre.

The Vitality Performance Centre provides indoor nets for cricketers at all levels. With over 20 qualified coaches, under the leadership of Head Coach Ajmal Shahzad, the Vitality Performance Centre is a crucial facility for MCC’s community outreach, offering cricket sessions for all ages, from youngsters aged five and above (including through MCC’s long-running Easter Coaching Courses) to more senior members of the community in weekly Walking Cricket sessions.
Beyond cricket, the Vitality Performance Centre offers a series of wellness programmes with physio rooms, gym facilities and a café that cater to the local community. The Centre provides fitness and wellness classes run by Fit With Me throughout the week.

Vitality is the UK’s leading health and life insurer and has established a significant presence as a regular sponsor of men’s and women’s cricket in England and Wales. Vitality has naming rights for the country’s premier T20 competition, the Vitality Blast, as well as International T20s and recreational T20 cricket. It is also the Official Wellness partner of The Hundred.

Robert Lawson, Chief Executive & Secretary of MCC, said: ““This partnership represents another important step for MCC. Vitality is a well established and respected supporter of cricket, and I am delighted that our indoor cricket centre at Lord’s will now be known as the Vitality Performance Centre. The facility plays a central role in our coaching and community programmes, and this collaboration will help us continue to provide high quality opportunities for people of all ages to engage with the game and other well-being initiatives. Vitality is a perfect fit.”

Nick Read, Chief Vitality Officer said: “We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with MCC and to bring the Vitality Performance Centre to Lord’s.

“At Vitality, we know that small, positive habits - like getting active and staying connected through sport - can make a big difference to long-term health. This partnership is about making those opportunities more accessible to people of all ages and helping to build healthier communities both on and off the pitch.”
