Arthur Lindsay Hassett scored 104 in the second test of the 1953 Ashes Series at Lord’s to put his name up on the honours boards.

Hassett also the Australian skipper opened the batting and enabled them to a total of 346 after winning the toss and electing to bat.

Hassett’s innings of 104 lasted 296 minutes with 11 fours.

The test ended in a draw with England taking first innings lead by scoring 372, followed by Australia scoring 368 in their second innings and England finishing on 282/7 in the fourth innings of the test match.
