A.R. Border 196 v EnglandBack to boards

Allan Border made the Honours Boards during a man-of-the-match performance in his side's four-wicket victory over England in 196.

The Australia captain won the toss and elected to field, seeing his side managing to condemn England to a score of 290.

Batting at four, Border entered the crease with Australia 24-2 but soon made his impact known to the England attack.

His score of 196 saw him face 318 balls, hitting 22 fours in the process to guide his side to a total of 425 all out.

Border then went on to score an unbeaten 41 in the second innings to inspire his team to a four-wicket Ashes victory.
