D.J. Brown 5-42 v AustraliaBack to boards

David Brown took a five-wicket haul against Australia at Lord’s in what was the 200th Test match between the two nations, in June 1964.

Alongside the bowling of Barry Knight, Brown took 5 for 42 as the Australians were dismissed for 78 in the first innings, including the wicket of the captain Bill Lawry.

The match, however, was greatly affected by rain and Brown would take no more wickets during the match, which ended in a draw.

Brown’s first-innings five-wicket haul was his second and last in Test cricket.
