With West Indies winning the toss and deciding to field, Edwards was quick to showcase his ability with the ball by bowling Alastair Cook before following it up with the wickets of Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, Matt Prior, James Anderson and finally Graham Onions.
Edwards’ efforts restricted England to a score of 377 all out but he wasn’t given the chance to repeat his performance during the hosts’ second innings as West Indies were bowled out for 152 and 256 during the follow-on to leave a target of just 32 for Andrew Strauss’ side.
England secured that target comfortably and sealed a comprehensive ten-wicket victory but for Edwards, it was a Test to always remember.
