G.M. Wood 114* v EnglandBack to boards

Graeme Wood of Australia got his name up on the Lord’s limited-overs honours boards by scoring a 114 Not Out against England in the 3rd ODI of the 1985 series.

Going into this match Australia had already won the ODI series. England skipper David Gower won the toss and put Australia into bat. Wood with his brilliant innings of 114 of 165 balls which included 10 fours and 1 six remained unbeaten and helped Australia get to 254-5 of their 55 overs.

Despite the batting efforts from Wood, Australia would go on to lose this match due to some sublime batting from Graham Gooch and Gower scoring hundreds each, helping England win by 8 wickets with 6 overs to spare.
