L.J. Coldwell 6-85 v PakistanBack to boards

Len Coldwell took 22 Test wickets in his career, 9 of which came against Pakistan on his Test debut at Lord’s in June 1962.

Coldwell was able to make clever use of his slower ball and with his fifth ball in Test cricket, bowled Imtiaz Ahmed.

He then took another 5 wickets in Pakistan’s first innings as they were bowled out for 100.

Following on, Coldwell again captured Imtiaz Ahmed’s wicket in the second innings, also removing Hanif Mohammad and Nasim-ul-Ghani (soon after making a century) finishing with match figures of 9-110 as the hosts won by nine wickets with two days to spare.
