M.J. Prior 126 v Sri LankaBack to boards

Matt Prior’s second appearance on the Lord’s Honours Boards came against Sri Lanka in 2011 with a superb score of 126.

In the second-match of the series, Prior showed his class, coming into bat at seven with a terrific innings that saw him face 131 balls and score 19 fours.

However, despite his fine century, Prior’s contribution to the match is probably best-remembered for smashing a window in the home dressing room after being run-out for four in the second innings.

Despite declaring on 335/7 with Alastair Cook scoring 106 in the second innings, England were unable to secure victory as Sri Lanka held out for the draw.
