After England elected to bat, Harris opened the bowling for the tourists, taking the early wicket of Joe Root LBW, before continuing to disrupt the host’s batting line-up with the dismissals of Kevin Pietersen and Jonathan Trott.
While England managed to build a respectable total through Ian Bell’s 109, Harris still managed to complete his five-wicket haul, picking up the wickets of Tim Bresnan and James Anderson.
Unfortunately for Harris, his two wickets for just 31 runs in England’s second innings was not enough to prevent a comprehensive defeat for Australia, as England managed to secure victory by 347 runs.
