S.T. Finn 5-87 v BangladeshBack to boards

All of Steven Finn’s first four Test Matches as an England player came against Bangladesh, and it was in the third of those matches that he claimed his first five-wicket haul, at Lord’s in 2010.

Finn’s 5 for 87 came in Bangladesh’s second innings but he also starred in the first, taking 4 for 100 and helping ensure that their opponents were to follow on, after England had posted an imposing 505 all out.

He led the bowling attack in both innings of the match, impressing with his accuracy and maturity for a young player making his home debut, and, with Bangladesh battling hard towards an improbable draw on the fifth day of the match, Finn took three wickets in an eight-over spell on the final morning to set up victory.

His four scalps in the first innings came as Bangladesh were bowled out for 282, and despite making 382 all out in their second innings, thanks to a Tamim Iqbal century, England had enough time left on day five to score the 160 needed, and they won by eight wickets.
