After taking four wickets for 79 runs during England’s first innings, Boult continued to lead from the front for the tourists, with a further five wickets for 85 runs in the host's second attempt at the crease.
Adam Lyth, Alastair Cook, Moeen Ali, Stuart Broad and James Anderson were all dismissed by the talented left-arm seamer as England finished their second innings 478 all out with Ben Stokes hitting the fastest Test century at Lord’s.
Despite Boult’s brilliance, New Zealand would go on to lose the Test by 124 runs at the end of a dramatic Day Five with Boult losing his wicket just before the close of play due to a fine catch by Ali off the bowling of Broad.
