FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Upon your election, you will be required to pay your 2027 Annual subscription and the balance of your Full Member Entrance Fee. The Entrance Fee is only payable in the first year as a Full Member. For following years, you only need to pay your annual subscription.

For example, if your name was placed on the list of Inner Town Members, with the subscription of £746, and the balance of your Full Member Entrance Fee is £1,054, the total amount you will have to pay is £1,800.

There is no means within the Club Rules to defer your membership to a later year.

  • They do not need to be the same Members who supported your original nomination to join the waiting list
  • Must be a current Full or Senior Member of MCC
  • Must have known you for the past three years

Full and/or Senior Members are able to support multiple Candidates for election each year.

They are only limited on the number of Candidates they can nominate for the waiting list, which is a separate action to supporting a Candidate for election.

Club Services will process the form and contact the two Members you named as your supporters. You will receive an email once both of your supporters have been contacted. We recommend that you contact your supporters separately to draw their attention to the Club's request.

Your supporters will be given a deadline to return the form in order for you to be elected at the next election.

Once we receive the responses from both of your supporters, provided they have responded within the election time-period, your name will be put forward for election at the next Committee Meeting.

Elections take place at MCC Committee meetings that are held between October 2026 and April 2027.

If you are not elected within this period, your election will carry over to the following year. Please be advised your election can only be carried over for one year and there is no means within the Club Rules to defer your election.

The Club will contact you by email within a week of your election taking place.
