A miniature Lord's Cricket Ground has been unveiled at KidZania London, as part of a new indoor cricket facility in partnership with Middlesex Cricket.
Middlesex's mini Home of Cricket, is designed and created to look just like the real thing – providing youngsters with the opportunity to take part in the game, get active, have fun and learn life lessons such as the importance of teamwork, nutrition, healthy lifestyle and good sportsmanship through playing cricket in a replica of the games’ most inspirational venue.
At over 200 metres squared, Lord’s Cricket Ground at KidZania based in Westfield Shopping Centre, Shepherd's Bush, has the iconic Lord’s Pavilion on one side and the Lord’s J.P. Morgan Media Centre on another. Complete with spectator seating, floodlights and Middlesex and MCC branding around the ground, the facility at KidZania London looks just like the real thing.
Since launching in 2015, over half a million children, aged between 4 and 14, have come through the doors of KidZania London, with the majority aged between 7 and 11.
The new partnership with KidZania allows Middlesex to further their engagement with youngsters across the capital - helping the club to introduce the game of cricket to a new and youthful audience and meet its participation objective of getting more cricket bats and balls into the hands of children across London.
