FIXTURES ANNOUNCED FOR FIRST YEAR OF PILOT PROGRAMME WITH PARTNER VENUE WORMSLEY

Posted: 23 March 2026

Following the announcement of the Club’s new partnership with Wormsley Estate, MCC has now confirmed the list of fixtures that will be played at Wormsley during the 2026 season.

The decision to introduce a two-year pilot with Wormsley reflects the priorities set out in the MCC Cricket Strategy. The estate is a venue of exceptional character, and the partnership will help alleviate operational pressures at Lord’s.

The programme at Wormsley will support several important ambitions within the Club’s broader cricketing portfolio. It will allow the expansion of the recreational match programme, enable the Club to host further women’s fixtures, and support Road to Lord’s initiatives that rely on the Club’s ability to provide high quality cricket facilities beyond the gates of Lord's.

Among the highlights of the fixture list, Wormsley will stage the semi-final of the boys' and girls' South East v. South West matches in the Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup. The winners of those matches will play at Lord's on Thursday 10 September.

MCC will play a three-day match against Zimbabwe in early August, whilst Middlesex will play two men’s matches at Wormsley this summer, a 50-over match against Buckinghamshire and a Second XI game against MCC.

There are also several finals that will be held there, including the ECB Rothesay National Club Championship Final, the ECB Vitality Women’s Club T20 Finals Day, the Schools Open T20 Finals Day and both the BUCS Men’s and Women’s Finals.
