The Greatest Game One Year On: An Anniversary Dinner

Posted: 13 March 2020

Covid-19 Update

Due to COVID-19, this event is no longer taking place. We hope to be able to hold a similar event in 2021. All those affected by this cancellation will be given a full refund and have priority booking for the new date in 2021 when it is confirmed.

When Lord’s Lit Up

It was 19.32 on 14 July 2019 and Jos Buttler broke the bails in a super over no one will ever forget, to make England the ICC Cricket World Cup winners for the first-time. The crowds at Lord's erupted!

Exactly a year on, MCC will be celebrating that historic moment with a Super Supper at the Home of Cricket on Tuesday, 14 July 2020.  Relive England’s dramatic victory in the final against New Zealand in what's been called the Greatest Game Ever Played.

Enjoy an evening at Lord's to take you back to that historic super over - where it all happened - at the Home of Cricket.

The Greatest Game One Year On

The experience will include:
  • A unique opportunity to step on the hallowed turf and pop a cork at 19.32
  • World class four-course dining by Michelin-star chef, Tommy Banks in the historic Grade II* listed Long Room where the England team celebrated their historic win, with wines paired to each course
  • Get up close to the Cricket World Cup Trophy itself
  • Relive the drama with personal stories from cricketing legends.

A year may be over, but the night will be one never to forget.
