In the first Lord's Test match to start in September, Stokes, who hit the fastest Test century ever scored at Lord’s in 2015, used the conditions to his advantage to become the eighth player, and sixth from England, to appear on both batting and bowling Honours Boards.
The all-rounder’s devastating spell with the ball saw him dismiss Kieran Powell, Roston Chase, Shane Dowrich, Jason Holder, Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel as West Indies fell to a dismal total of 123 all out during their first innings.
England would only go on to score 194 all out themselves in reply, but would eventually go on to win the Test by nine wickets to wrap up the series.
