B. Lee 5-49 v EnglandBack to boards

Brett Lee secured a five-wicket haul during Australia’s seven-wicket victory over England in an ODI at Lord’s during the summer of 2009.

Despite his reputation as one of the best fast bowlers to have ever played the game, Lee never managed a Test five-wicket haul at Lord’s, but did produce a sublime showcase of his talents to claim his second ODI Honour.

England won the toss and decided to bat, but it proved to be perhaps the wrong decision with Lee on top form – claiming the wicket of Joe Denly, before cleaning bowling Matt Prior, Luke Wright, Stuart Broad and Adil Rashid as he finished with figures of 5-49.

Australia comfortably chased down England’s score of 221 after just 43.4 overs with Lee securing the man of the match award.
