Kumar Sangakkara scored his first of two centuries at Lord’s during the summer of 2014, when his score of 112 guided Sri Lanka to a one-day international victory over England.
Batting at three, Sangakkara was on sublime form, hitting 112 runs off 104 balls in an innings that included a mammoth total of 14 fours.
He was finally dismissed when he was stumped by Jos Buttler off the bowling of James Tredwell as Sri Lanka posted a score of 300/9 at the end of their 50 overs.
Despite Buttler’s record-breaking score of 121 off 74 balls, Sri Lanka held on for the victory.
