On Day One of the Test, Broad picked up three early wickets on a cloudy morning at Lord’s to put the hosts on the driver’s seat.
After a little fight back from the Irish, Broad ended up on figures of 5-51 off his 17 overs just after Tea helping England bowl out Ireland for 172 of 56.2 overs.
He picked up the wickets of James McCollum, PJ Moor, Andrew Balbirnie, Harry Tector and Mark Adair to go up on the Honours Boards for the fourth time, with this being the third for his bowling accolades.
