Coming to England v New Zealand?

We're looking forward to welcoming you to the Home of Cricket

We look forward to welcoming you to Lord’s for the first Rothesay Test match in the series between England and New Zealand to kick off the summer season of Test cricket at Lord’s.

This match is a landmark occasion for the Home of Cricket as it’s the 150th Test to have been played at the Ground. Throughout the match, MCC will be celebrating the rich history and enduring legacy of cricket’s longest format, bringing the past and present together for a memorable experience.

During the tea interval, a unique ceremony will bring together those who’ve captained England at Lord’s onto the field of play.

To help you commemorate the occasion, a limited-edition range of 150th Test merchandise will be available in the Lord’s Shop and the official match programme will include an extended look back on some of the greatest Test moments at the Home of Cricket.

Getting to Lord's

There are plenty of options across the Transport For London (TFL) network to get to Lord’s. Please note that roadworks on Wellington Road throughout the summer will cause some disruption in and around St John’s Wood underground station and therefore we urge you to use alternatives whenever possible.

It is also highly recommended to use the Underground station most appropriate for where you will be seated in the Ground. These options should be considered for entry and leaving:

  • For the Warner Stand, Pavilion, and Tavern and Allen Stands, use Warwick Avenue or Edgware Road (15 min walk)
  • For Mound and Edrich Stands, use Baker Street (15 min walk)
  • For the Grand and Compton Stands, use St. John's Wood (10 min walk)

The closest rail stations are Marylebone (15 mins) and Paddington which is a pleasant 20-minute stroll taking in the canals of Little Venice.

Entry through the North Gate will be via automated turnstiles, with stewards on hand to assist if needed.

The Ginger Pig Hampers

Make your visit to Lord’s extra delicious this year with a sumptuous picnic hamper from The Ginger Pig, London’s iconic artisan butcher and delicatessen.

Inspired by a traditional cricket tea, each picnic hamper includes breakfast, a two or three-course lunch and afternoon tea. There will be a banquet of terrines, scotch eggs, sandwiches and buttery homemade cakes to savour from opening bell to last ball.

These tremendously proper picnics are handmade by the Ginger Pig’s skilled butchers, bakers and chefs in their Bermondsey butchery and kitchens, and – as you’d expect – sourcing is of the highest calibre.

With an abundance of green spaces at Lord’s, Ginger Pig Picnics can be enjoyed from your seat if you don’t want to miss a ball, or find a picnic table or patch of grass to enjoy it from.
